THE CLAUDE-DUROCHER FOUNDATION
Some causes are especially close to our hearts. Such as the Fondation Claude-Durocher.
This non-profit organization provides financial aid to individuals who have suffered significant financial loss following a cancer diagnosis. It was named after one of MB Capital’s former co-owners, Claude Durocher, who helped to secure the funding that made this financial program possible. When Claude lost his own long battle with cancer in 2009, his long-time friend and business partner Mario Beaudoin agreed to take over as the foundation’s president. This foundation is very close to all of our hearts, but especially for our Montérégie manager, Louis-Charles Durocher, who was Claude’s son.

The CHUS Foundation
We take a sunny approach to win the fight against cancer.
MB Capital is proud to support the CHUS Foundation’s Destination Soleil fundraiser, an annual event in which 120 donors are flown to an exotic location for a sun-filled week of fun and networking, all in the name of a great cause. This event was created support the CHUS Foundation’s goal of raising $5 million in 5 years in order to purchase high-tech equipment and advance ongoing cancer research.
MB Capital sits on the trip planning committee that organizes this annual trip. To date, we have helped to raise over $1.5 million dollars, which is split equally between the CHUS Foundation and the Fondation Claude-Durocher.

We love a healthy bottom line. We also love a great game of hockey.
As an investment firm made up of die-hard hockey fans (including a former professional hockey player), supporting local hockey was a natural choice for us. We are proud sponsors of the Champlain College Cougars. The main values promoted in hockey—teamwork, discipline and commitment—are the same values that drive our success.
